Letter from the President ![]() Tom Law On behalf of the officers, directors, and members of the National Turf Writers Association I’d like to formally introduce myself and welcome you to the organization’s website. The NTWA website will hopefully provide our members and others with an excellent source of information on our organization. Our goal is to keep the site as fresh and up-to-date as possible and I urge members to pass along any information they feel might be helpful and timely. For those of you who do not know me, I am a native of Saratoga Springs, New York and current resident of Lexington, Kentucky who has covered Thoroughbred racing for the last 12 years. I have been a member of the NTWA since 1997, including the last two years as a director. I have also worked at Thoroughbred Times since 1998, working first as a staff writer before serving as the magazine’s deputy news editor, news editor, and currently as its managing editor. As I said in my first newsletter to the membership, I’d like to thanks those that have trusted me to serve as president of this organization. My main goal going forward is to serve the National Turf Writers Association in a positive way and to help it gain an even more powerful influence in the racing industry. I’d also like to see the NTWA become an even stronger organization with a healthy and active membership. Thanks, and best of luck at the races,Tom Law NTWA President |
